Another Trip With My Family

Well, I made it through another family trip. It was chaotic, as always. My siblings drove me up the wall. We took some wrong turns a couple of times, and then there was that hilarious incident at a gas station.

I'm fried, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. We have pictures to prove it.

My phone is officially silenced/turned off/put away. Emails can chill until I get back. Social media can keep spinning. Sometimes, the best/ideal/perfect escape isn't a place/location/spot at all. It's a state of mind/feeling/perception. My happy place/moment/time is anywhere but here, a whimsical/fantastical/imaginary realm where stress/tension/worry melts away/into oblivion/like ice cream on a hot day. I picture a tropical beach filled with the scent of fresh-baked cookies, where every day feels like a holiday. It's not about reality/escaping from life/finding perfection, it's about creating a sanctuary/building an oasis/dreaming big and letting that vision/imagination/fantasy fuel my spirit/soul/inner self.
